AGI usually means broad, transferable capabilities; ASI means capabilities greatly exceeding humans within the scope considered. Authors differ on tasks, human reference populations, autonomy and thresholds.

Assumptions and notation

Comparing definitions requires specifying tasks, generalisation, resources and human references. These dimensions do not collapse into a single equation.

Limits of interpretation

Levels of AGI is a proposed comparison framework, not universal certification. A high score documents a particular protocol; it alone proves neither unlimited generality nor superintelligence.
